CUA Downs Goucher 7-2
The Catholic University mens tennis team defeated local-rival Goucher College (4-8, 2-3 Landmark) Wednesday at the DuFour Center. The Cardinals downed the Gophers 7-2 winning matches 1-5 in singles play. With the win CUA improves to 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the Landmark Conference which places it in second in the standings.

Cardinals drop second straight to Bullets 5-3
The Catholic University Mens Tennis Team struggled Thursday against the Bullets of Gettysburg College in a match that was called early due to inclement weather. The Cards made the trip to Pennsylvania coming off a tough loss to Drew University Saturday and looked to get back on track

Mens Tennis Falls to Drew 9-0
The Catholic University mens tennis squad had a tough day on the court Saturday as it lost 9-0 to the Drew University Rangers. With the loss the Cards fall to 6-4 on the season and 2-1 in the Landmark conference. The Rangers continued their streak of 59 consecutive conference wins.

Spartans Drop Cardinals 8-1
The Catholic University mens tennis team lost a tough 8-1 match the York Spartans Tuesday at the DuFour Center. The win marked the eighth straight for the Spartans but dropped CUA to 5-3 on the season.

Dillon Named Athlete of the Week
Catholic University mens tennis player John Dillon (River Forest, Ill./Fenwick) has been named the Landmark Conference Mens Tennis Athlete of the Week after two big wins this past Saturday. Dillon has helped guide the team to a 5-2 record do far for this school year.

Cardinals Nab First Landmark Victory
The Catholic University mens tennis team got its first conference win of the season Saturday with a 6-3 victory over Moravian College (1-2-1) at the DuFour Center. The powerful middle of the lineup proved to be too much for the Greyhounds as CUA won improving to 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the Landmark Conference where it were selected first in the preseason poll.

Mens Tennis Goes 3-1 on Spring Break
The Catholic University mens tennis squad had a successful spring break trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C., last week. The Cardinals went 3-1 which improves them to 4-2 on the season as they begin conference play on Saturday.

Drew Earns Top Spot in Landmark Mens Tennis Preseason Poll
The Drew University mens tennis team has been named the favorite to claim the top position in the first season of competition in the Landmark Conference as selected in the Landmark Preseason Mens Tennis Poll. The Catholic University of America was selected second in the voting. The head mens coaches and sports information directors at each institution that sponsors the sport were polled for the preseason ballot.

Cardinals Finish Fall Season with Classic
The Catholic University mens tennis team concluded its fall season this Sunday with numerous successes at the Capital Fall Tennis Classic. Over the past month, the squad has gone 1-1 and competed in two invitationals.

CUA Stumbles in First Round of CAC Tourney
The Catholic University mens tennis squad (10-8) fell to the Goucher Gophers, 6-3, Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament. The fifth seeded Gophers took advantage of CUA missing two of its regular players to upset the fourth seed.

CAC Tournament Begins Monday
After a jam-packed spring season the Capital Athletic Conference has announced the pairs for five of its seven championships. The Catholic University Cardinals will be well-represented in the mix with a trio squads earning three seeds. This weeks games mark the final time that CUA will play in the CAC Tournament as the Cards are joining the newly-formed Landmark Conference in 2007-08.

The Catholic University mens and womens tennis teams battled the Salisbury Sea Gulls Friday night but both Cardinal squads came away with 9-0 losses. The mens team drops to .500 on the season going 6-6 and 1-3 in the Capital Athletic Conference while the women move to 7-4, 1-2 in the CAC.

The Catholic University mens tennis team dropped its first home meet of the spring season 8-1 to the Loyola (Md.) University Greyhounds. With the loss, the Cards drop to 6-3 for the season.

Mens Tennis Splits Over Break
The Catholic University mens tennis team split four matches in Hilton Head, S.C. over the break. In the first contest, the Cardinals fell 8-1 to Augustana. CUA lost all six singles matches, three in straight sets. Catholic Universitys only victory over Augustana came when the doubles pairing of John Dillon (River Forest, Ill.) and Andrew Malone (Bethesda, Md.) defeated Augustanas pair of Dave Gapp and Chris Mullin, 8-4.

CUA mens tennis beat the University of the District of Columbia 7-2 Tuesday afternoon at the DuFour Center. The team won a doubles match due to a default and all but one in singles.

Mens Tennis beat Villa Julie in an emphatic style Sunday afternoon at the DuFour Center. The Cardinals won 9-0 beating the Mustangs in every match.
