Greyhounds Run Past Cardinals
WASHINGTON- The Catholic University men's tennis team dropped its first home meet of the spring season 8-1 to the Loyola (Md.) University Greyhounds. With the loss, the Cards drop to 6-3 for the season.
John Dillon (River Forest, Ill.) was the lone winner for CUA at the number two singles position. Dillon won 6-4 in the first game over Ben Epstein and got the win after Epstein retired the match. Number one single player Andrew Kracht (Sellersville, Pa.) battled it out losing the first but winning the second game, unfortunately he couldn't win the rubber match falling 10-8.
Number on pair Jonathan Lewis (Overland Park, Kan.) and Kracht also played a strong match but lost to Scott Gannon and Ben Epstein 8-6.
CUA will have just one day off before traveling to the University of the District of Columbia for a meet on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
