Men's Tennis falls to Scranton, 9-0
WASHINGTON-- The CUA men's tennis team fell to Scranton, 9-0 Sunday. The team braved the elements after being postponed from Saturday.
CUA battled in nearly every match but Scranton held tough and did not allow the Cardinals a single point. In the No. 1 Doubles match CUA's freshmen duo of Jean Paul Roman and Matt Netardus battled the tested Scott Melideo and Tugg McGurrin of Scranton to an 8-6 loss.
In their respective singles matches both put up a strong effort, including Roman's 7-5, 6-3 loss to Melideo in the No. 1 singles, but fell just sort.
Throughout the CUA lineup the team, who has only one upperclassmen, battled strong and showed their relentlessness and dedication to the sport.
CUA will return to action Friday, April 3rd at Gettysburg at 2:30 p.m.
