Cardinals Earn First Landmark Win Over Goucher, 9-0
Washington, DC- The Catholic University Men's Tennis team is coming off two consecutive Landmark conference matches this week and are 5-9 overall and 1-4 in conference play. On Monday April 13th the Cards traveled north to Pennsylvania and battled Juniata College but fell to the Eagles in a tough match 9-0. In addition to Roman's solid performance, Connor Donelly (Long Island, N.Y) won both his single match and double match to help the Cards earn their first Landmark win of the season and fifth win overall.
Coach Dowd and the Cards only have three remaining matches before the end of the regular season as they are looking to make a late push toward the 2009 Landmark playoffs. The Cards currently sit in fifth place and will host Susquehanna University this Saturday, April 18th which will be part of the Spring Sports festival.
