Men's Tennis Falls to Loyola, 8-1

Catholic University's men's tennis team fell to Division I foe Loyola University Thursday afternoon, 8-1. CUA's only win came from Dan Valverte over Keyon Sanai at the No. 1 position. The freshman crushed the top player at the Division I school 6-1, 6-2.

Valverte later teamed with Mike Schinella at the No. 1 doubles spot, but lost a close 8-6 match to the No. 1 doubles pair from LU.

Head coach Marty Dowd singled out sophomore Joe Gribbin and freshman Kyle Kramer for hard play in a losing cause.

The Cardinals will travel to Scranton on Saturday, April 10, for a 1 p.m., Landmark Conference meeting.
