Cardinals open indoor season at Bow Tie Classic
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – CUA opened its indoor season on
Saturday at the Bow Tie Classic, on the campus of Ursinus
College. The Cardinals placed 14th in the 16-school
invitational with 11 points.
Joe Quigley had the top individual finish for CUA, placing second
in the 800 meters with a time of 2:01.42, while Mike Spielberger
(12), Nick Pavia (18) and Kyle McKenna (20) placed in the top-20 of
the same event.
Matt Zemba placed seventh in the 400 meter dash, with a time of
53.36, and Christian Hibinski also competed in the event, finishing
15th in 56.14.
The Cardinals had runners finish 8th through 11th in the mile,
with George Brewer leading the way in 4:47.59. Dylan Jones,
Mike Puskar and Chris Derks followed. Kian Olia also ran the
mile and he posted a top-20 finish.
CUA is back in action on Saturday, January 21 when the Cardinals
head back to Ursinus for the Collegeville Classic.
