Brubaker named Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week

WASHINGTON – Senior Shawn Brubaker was named the Landmark Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week on Monday.  A native of Pennsylvania, Brubaker won the weight throw and also placed 7th in the shot put this past weekend at the Lebanon Valley College Indoor Invite.

Brubaker took first in the weight throw with a toss of 47’ 5.75”, defeating 16 other student-athletes to claim the top spot.  Brubaker’s throw was over two feet further than the second place finisher.

Later in the meet, Brubaker’s throw of 38’ 7” was good for 7th in the shot put.  That event featured 22 competitors.

Brubaker and the Cardinals return to action on Friday, February 1 when they travel to Chester, Pa. to take part in the Widener Field Meet.  Start time is set for 4 p.m.
