Men's Indoor Track & Field Scores 14 Points at Navy Invitational

WASHINGTON - The Catholic University Men's Indoor Track & Field team competed at the Navy Invitational on Saturday, January 18 and picked up 14 points.

The Cardinals were led by Greg Daley who scored 10 points for his performances in the high jump and long jump. Daley posted a 1.69m jump in the finals of the high jump, earning a fourth-place finish and six points for CUA. In the long jump, Daley grabbed another four points on his best jump, a 5.54m effort which earned him a fifth-place finish.

Kevin Drummond also competed in the long jump and finished in seventh place, scoring one point for the Cardinals on a 5.17m jump.

The last point-scorer for CUA was John Brewer, who notched two points with a 9:24.80 time in the 3000m run. He finished ahead of teammate, Michael Wood who crossed the finish line at 9:54.97.

The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Feb. 1, when they travel to George Mason for the Patriot Games.
