Duggan earns conference rookie honors
WASHINGTON - Freshman Sean Duggan (Spring Lake, NJ/Christian Bros. Acad.) was named the 2002 CAC Track and Field Rookie of the Year.
Duggan placed first in the conference championships by winning the shot put. He also placed first in the shot, discus, and hammer throw at the Captain's Classic in Newport News, Va. He also was first in the shot at the Delaware Invitational.
Flanagan, Duggan win at CAC championships
TOWSON, Md. - Catholic had two individual champions crowed this
weekend at the CAC Track and Field championships hosted by Goucher
College.
Senior Donna Flanagan (Plainville, Mass./Bishop Feehan) was the top finisher in the women's 5000 meter run while freshman Sean Duggan (Spring Lake, N.J./CBA) was first in the men's shot put.
Senior Joe Kennedy (Mt. Vision, N.Y./Cooperstown) was the runner-up in the 100 meter hurdles and the 400 meter dash.
Mary Washington was the overall winner in both the men's and women's categories.
