Duggan finishes second in shot put at NCAA Indoor Championships; adds another All American status

WHITEWATER, WIS. -- Sean Duggan added a second All American title to his resume by finishing in second place Saturday morning at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

His final toss of 56-5.25 ft. was good for second place. Uzoma Orji of MIT was the champion in the shot put with a mark of 59-6.25.

Duggan earns All-American status in weight throw at NCAA Championships

WHITEWATER, WIS. --- Junior Sean Duggan (Spring Lake, N.J./CBA) placed 6th in the 35-pound weight throw and earned All-American status at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Friday morning.

His mark of 59-1 ft. was good enough for sixth place. Mark Wierzba of Wisconsin-Stevens Point took first with his final mark of 63-0 ft.

Duggan will also compete in the shot put tomorrow morning. In last year's championships, Duggan also competed in both events but narrowly missed qualifying for the finals.
