Head Coach Jerry McGee

Coach Jerry McGee is in his 40th year at the helm of CUA track and field. During his tenure the program has risen to national prominence, especially in the middle distance events. His athletes have won 38 NCAA I, II, and III All-American certificates and two have become national champions: Mark Robinson in the 800 meters in 1974 and 1975 and Tom Caffrey in the 1500 meters in 1991.

In 1976 and 1979, McGee was selected to coach the American track and field team in competition with the U.S.S.R., winning both meetings. He is a member of the Seton Hall Prep Hall of Fame.

McGee is a graduate of the University of Maryland and George Washington University. He and his wife, Patsy James McGee, reside in Silver Spring, Md.
