Smith Wins the 10,000 at Mason Dixon Championships
Team places sixth overall
SALISBURY, Md.- Andrew Smith (Arlington, Tenn./Bolton) won the 10,000 meters at the Mason Dixon Championships. His victory in 33:58.70 marked the first time a Cardinal had won the event. Overall the team placed sixth with 31 points.
Mike Doster (Wayne, Pa./Wayne Valley) also had a strong day on the track taking second in the 400 hurdles running a 55.03 and third in the 110 meter hurdles with a 16.15. In the field, Eric Schoeffling (Norristown, Pa./La Salle) was the top performer placing fourth in the javelin (50.49). Jacob Herring (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) was eighth in the triple jump hitting 12.24 meters and tenth in the long jump with a 5.83. Nolan Converse (Valley Forge, Pa./Devon Prep) was tenth in the discus (30.61).
The men conclude their season losing just two runners and looking to improve next year.
