Cardinals Finish 13th at Ursinus
Kolbeck places fourth in the pole vault
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Catholic University men's track and field squad took 13th out of 18 teams Saturday at the Frank Colden Invitational held at Ursinus College. The Cardinals scored 11 points overall. Johns Hopkins won the meet with a total of 108 points to their credit.
The performance of the day belonged to freshman Andrew Kolbeck who took fourth in the pole vault making 4.05 meters. In the running events, three individuals had top ten finishes. Kris Reynolds took eighth in the 800 meters clocking in at 2:05.47. Stephen Jochem (Gallup/Gallup Catholic) was also eighth in the 1,000 meters running a 2:51.34. Andrew Smith (Arlington, Tenn./Bolton) put together a solid run in the 3,000 meters coming in ninth with a 9:20.65. Finally, the 4x800 meters relay team took fifth overall with a time of 8:38.89.
The Cardinals will be at Susquehanna University next weekend for their invitational meet on Saturday.
