Doster and Won Named Athletes of the Week
WASHINGTON- Men's and women's track team members Michael Doster (Wayne/Wayne Valley) and Rachel Won (Kaneohe, Hi./'Iolani School), have been named Landmark Conference Athletes of the Week for their performances at the Howard Community College's 3rd Annual Dragon Invitational Sunday afternoon.
Doster was one of two first place finishes for the Cardinal squad at the meet. The senior finished on top in the 400 meter hurdles (56.22), then earned a second place finish in the 110 meter hurdles (16.82). The Cards also finished first in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 3:29.00. Both times would have ranked in the top-10 in the conference last season.
Won alone earned three first place finishes at the team's first outdoor competition of the season. The sophomore finished atop the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.89, as well as the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.33. She also bested the javelin throw with a toss of 26.75m.
