Men's Track Enjoys Three First Place Finishes at BC Invitational

BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Catholic University of America men’s
track team earned three first-place and four second-place finishes
at the Bridgewater College Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Eric Schoeffling (Norristown, Pa./La Salle) won the men’s
javelin throw, tossing a distance of 47.77m in the Invitational.
Joe Loeffler also won the pole vault for the Cards, and the squad
also won the 4x400 meter relay, earning a time of 3:27.85.
The Cards also wracked up four second-place finishes at the BC
Invite. Paul Santuoso (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) finished with a
time of 9:24.54 in the 3000 meter run for the Cards. Branden Carter
earned a second-place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of
23.34, while teammate Michael Doster (Wayne/Wayne Valley) finished
second in the 400 meter hurdles (56.67). John Mason (Brooklyn,
N.Y.) rounded out the top Cardinal finishes with a distance of
37.67m in the men’s discus throw.
CUA will return to action next Saturday, April 4th, at the York
Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
