Men's Track Earns Two First Place Finishes in Dragon Invitational


COLUMBIA, Md.- The CUA men's track and field team had a solid performance in Sunday afternoon's 3rd Annual Dragon Invitational, including two first place and three second place finishes.

Michael Doster (Wayne/Wayne Valley) was one of two first place finishes for the Cardinal squad. The senior finished on top in the 400 meter hurdles (56.22), then earned a second place finish in the 110 meter hurdles (16.82). The Cards also finished first in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 3:29.00.

Finishing second in the 5000 meter run was Andrew Smith (Arlington, Tenn./Bolton), who recorded a time of 16:12.61. Finishing in second place in the discus throw was John Mason, throwing 38.67 meters.

The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, March 28th as they travel to Virginia for the Bridgewater College Invitational at 9 a.m.
