Men's Track Finishes 2nd at Lebanon Valley

ANNVILLE, Pa.- The CUA men's track team nabbed second place out of 11 teams at the Lebanon Valley Invitational Saturday afternoon, despite a number of injuries and illnesses. The squad was led by double gold medalist Brian Norte, who finished atop two different events at the meet.
Norte clinched first place in the 500 Meter Dash with a time of 1:13.44. The sophomore then helped CUA's relay team finish first in the 4x400 after receiving the baton with a 15 meter deficit.
Tom Breslin and Andrew Holdt brought the team second place points in the Weight Throw and High Jump respectively. Breslin recorded a toss of 37-05.75, while Holdt notched a height of 5-08.00.
The team also picked up a 3rd place finish in the 300 Meter Dash from freshman Garrett "Joe" Quigley. Quigley recorded a time of 40.56 in the event. Andrew Smith also scored in both the Mile Run and the 3000 meters, taking 4th place in both events.
CUA will be back in action on Saturday, February 6th, as they travel to Ursinus College for a 10:00 a.m., meet.
