Men's Track Competes at Lynchburg Invitational


LYNCHBURG, Va.- Catholic University’s men’s track and field team competed in the 2010 Lyncburg Invitational over the weekend, and saw a number of promising finishes.

CUA’s Josh Monroe and Steve Prieur finished 15th and 16th in the men’s hammer throw with tosses of 31.75m and 28.98m, respectively. Prieur also earned a 15th place finish in the discus throw at 32.00m.

Teammates Michael Puskar and George Brewer earned 17th and 18th in the 1500m run, respectively. Puskar finished in 4:26.68, while Brewer notched a time of 4:31.89. Freshman Andrew Templeton finished 20th with a 11.09m toss in the shot put.

CUA will be back in action on Saturday, March 27th, as they travel to Towson, Md., for the annual Goucher Invitational.
