Men's Track Finishes 11th at Messiah Invitational


GRANTHAM, Pa. - CUA's men's track and field team saw a number of individual successes at the Messiah Invitational Saturday afternoon, as the team finished in 11th place overall.

Andrew Smith earned the highest finish at the meet, finishing the 5000 meter run in 15:51.46. Joe Quigley finished fourth in both the 110 meter hurdles and 400 meter hurdles with times of 16.37 and 59.76, respectively.

Andrew Holdt had another strong performance, earning sixth in the men's high jump with a leap of 1.72m.

Steve Prieur competed in a number of events, placing 14th in the hammer throw, 17th in the discus throw, and 21st in the shot put.

Catholic finished 11th overall, and will look to continue their strong performances next week as they travel to Dickinson College for a meet beginning at 10 a.m.
