CUA men tune up for championships at Dickinson Invite
CARLISE, Pa. – The CUA men's track and field team tuned up for the conference championships at the Dickinson Invitational on Saturday as the Cardinals placed tenth in the 19-team field with 29 points. Kian Olia posted the top individual finish, crossing in third place in the 5000.
Olia finished third in the 5000 with a time of 17:03.94, while Joe Quigley took fifth in the 55 hurdles, crossing in 8.50 seconds. Quigley later finished fourth in the 400, with a time of 53.55.
George Brewer crossed in a time of 2:08.15 to finish 14th in the 800 and Matt Zemba posted a seventh place finish in the 200, crossing in 24.37 seconds.
Dickinson won the overall team championship with 110 points, followed by Keystone and Gettysburg with 74 points apiece, Merchant Marine Academy (68.5) and Hood (50).
CUA will return to action next weekend when the Cardinals close out their 2011 indoor season at the Landmark Conference championships. Action takes place at Susquehanna University.
