CUA tunes up for conference champ. at Gettysburg Invite
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Running against a strong field of competitors, CUA finished 23rd in the team standings out of 31 schools in attendance, with 640 points, at the Gettysburg Invitational on Saturday. Dylan Jones led the way individually, with a 103rd place finish in a time of 29:59.41.
Other runners that competed for the Cardinals included Kian Olia (175), George Brewer (201), Mike Spielberger (220), Chris Derks (240), Kyle McKenna (243), Joe Quigley (283), and Nick Pavia (303).
Malone University captured the team title with 29 points, followed by Messiah (112), Mary Washington (158), Coast Guard (161) and Lock Haven (184).
Individually, Anthony Migliozzi of Malone took the crown, crossing in 26:46.18, with Ian Quinlan of Susquehanna coming in second, posting a time of 26:55.46.
CUA is now off for two weeks before heading to the Lehigh Valley on Saturday, October 29 for the 2011 Landmark Conference championships, which will be held on the campus of Lehigh University. Action gets underway beginning at 1 p.m.
