Landmark Conference announces men's cross country poll

WASHINGTON – The Landmark Conference announced its 2012 preseason poll on Wednesday and CUA was voted seventh with 16 points.  Defending conference champion Moravian claimed the top spot with 70 points, followed by Susquehanna with 50.

The Cardinals return a number of experienced runners this year, including Ryan Anderson, Chris Derks, Michael Kennedy, Kyle McKenna, and Kian Olia.  CUA won its season opener at the Albright Invitational in 2011, and placed eighth at the conference championships.

Following Moravian and Susquehanna in the poll are Scranton (39), Juniata (30), USMMA (25), Goucher (18), CUA (16) and Drew (8).

CUA begins its 2012 season on Saturday, September 8 when the Cardinals travel to the Washington & Lee Invitational.  Start time is set for 10 a.m.
