Cardinals tune-up for championships by competing at Gettysburg Invite
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – CUA had its final tune-up prior to the
conference championship later this month, as the Cardinals traveled
to the Gettysburg Invite and placed 18th out of 35 schools in
attendance on Saturday. Freshman Matthias Arauco-Shapiro led
CUA with a 42nd place finish with a time of 26:59.
Other Cardinals that competed on Saturday included Michael Wood,
who crossed in 67th place with a time of 27:29, John Brewer, who
came in 125th in 28:40, Lucas Milone (134), Mike Spielberger (135),
Kian Olia (144) and Dylan Jones (152).
Matt Gillette of Shippensburg won the individual crown with a time
of 25:21, while Chad Kosanovich of Denison placed second
(25:54).
Lock Haven claimed the top spot in the team standings with 50
points, followed by Bucknell (79), Shippensburg (122), Salisbury
(164) and Denison (190).
CUA now has two weeks off before returning to action on Saturday,
October 27 at the 2012 Landmark Conference championship. The
race will take place in Huntingdon, Pa. and begins at 11:45
a.m.
