CUA Men’s Cross Country Concludes Navy Invite
WASHINGTON – The Catholic University men's cross country team wrapped up the 2013 Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md., on Saturday, Sept. 14 with an eight place finish over Bowie State University.
For the second time this season, CUA went toe-to-toe with American, George Washington and Howard, while facing Georgetown, UMBC, Loyola (Md.), and the Naval host for the first time.
John Brewer took the top finish for the Cards at 55th place with a time of 28:10.91 for 42 points. Michael Wood added 44 points to the team's total with a 57th place finish in 28:16.97. Chris Drew completed the course in 30:14.04 for 50 points and 67th place. Mike Spielberger finished in 31:33.70 for 70th place and 52 points, as Kyle Loomie rounded out the Cardinals points with 53 and a 71st place finish in 31:58.60.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 for the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa.
