Catholic Men Finish Fifth at Mustang Stampede

Stevenson, Md. - The Catholic University of America men's cross country team opened their 2015 season competing in the Mustang Stampede at Stevenson University on Saturday morning.

CUA placed fifth with 138 points, just ahead of of Alvernia University in sixth place (156) and trailing Ursinus College in fourth (110).

Cardinal senior John Brewer led the pack, finishing the 8000 meter race in 20th place with a finishing time of 28:19.01, averaging a 3:32.4 minute kilometer. Sophomore Patrick Jones earned the 39th place finish with a time of 29:31.18 while Michael Corado ran a 30:24.61, finishing in 49th place.
