WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's cross country team had a strong showing at the Moravian Invitational, held at the site of this year's Landmark Conference Championship. The Cardinals placed two runners in the top-15 and three in the top-20 to finish fourth.
Sophomore Kevin Kuchler placed 10th overall to pace the Cards, finishing the 8k with a time of 27:02.16.
Junior Patrick Jones was less than a second behind his teammate as he took 11th, crossing the finish line in 27:03.12.
Rookie runner Joseph LaPointe had a strong race for Catholic, placing 17th with a time of 27:25.72, holding off Juniata's Evan Ulrich.
The Cardinals will look to improve their times once again at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run on Saturday, October 1.
