Catholic Competes at Landmark Conference Championships

WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America men's cross country team competed at the Landmark Conference Championships in Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday as sophomore Patrick Jones finished 20th overall as the Cardinals placed sixth.

Jones made the top-20 with a time 27:30.14, holding off Juniata's Evan Ulrich by 00:00.78 seconds and Susquehanna's Justin Skavery by 00:00.84 seconds.

Rookie runner Joseph LaPointe had a strong showing in his first championship race, placing 44th overall with a time of 28:34.6. Sophomore Peter Binck also posted a top-50 time at 28:53.2.

Sophomore Kevin Kuchler was unable to compete due to injury.
