Pirozzi Leads Catholic at Mustang Stampede

Harrisonburg, Va. – The Catholic University of America men's cross country team started the 2017 season at Stevenson's Mustang Stampede on Friday and finished third overall. The Cardinals were led by sophomore Cosmo Pirozzi who posted a top-30 finish.

Pirozzi sped to a time of 20:30.29 in the six-kilometer race as he led four top-20 scorers for Catholic.

Senior Patrick Jones was just behind Pirozzi at 32nd with a time of 20:42.73. The Cards then went 36, 37 as sophomore Joseph LaPointe crossed at 21:27.64, followed by junior Kevin Kuchler at 21:37.87.

Next up the for the Cardinals is the Landmark Preview Meet at Juniata on Saturday, September 9.
