Catholic Takes Second at NCAA Regional Preview

WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America men's cross country team competed at the South/Southeast NCAA Regional Preview Meet hosted by Christopher Newport on Saturday and earned a second-place performance.

Junior Kevin Kuchler led way as he finished fifth overall and third among collegiate competitors with a time of 26:46.

The sophomore tandem of Cosmo Pirozzi and Joseph LaPointe each finished inside the top-20 and placed 15th and 16th, respectively.

Pirozzi crossed in 28:06 with LaPointe on his heals just 16 seconds back.

Next up, the Cardinals will head to the Hood College Open on Saturday, September 14 at 10 a.m.
