1999 Season
McHugh and McDermott Earn All-CAC Honors
Matt McHugh (Sylvania, Ohio/St. Francis de Sales High) and Ryan McDermott (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) earned All-Capital Athletic Conference honors in the CAC Cross Country Championships at Fredericksburg, Va. on Nov. 6, 1999.
McHugh garnered first-team honors by placing fourth overall in the 5-mile event with a time of 27 minutes, 44 seconds. He also earned first-team All-Mason Dixon Conference honors on Oct. 23 with a personal-best 27:23.
McDermott received second-team All-CAC recognition by placing 11th in 28:23. The top seven finishers earned first-team honors and the next eight second-team.
The Cardinals placed third overall behind Salisbury State and champion Mary Washington. Coach Mark Robinson is encouraged by the return of all his runners for the 2000 season.
