Paul Santuoso places twelfth overall

GRANTHAM, Va. - Catholic University men's cross country competed at the Messiah College quad meet on Saturday against three highly competitive squads.  CUA ran against host Messiah, Gettysburg and Juniata.

Sophomore Paul Santuoso (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) continued to lead the team that only entered five runners in the meet.  Santuoso finished 12th in a time of 28:33.  Coming in second for the Cards was Kevin Milsted (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) who was 28th running a 30:38.

Rounding out the Cardinal squad was Scott Pospiech with a 32:51 in 36th place, Alex Maro coming in right behind with a 33:05 and Christopher Kremer (Florissant, Mo./DeSmet) running a 37:40 for 41st place.

CUA fell to all three squads scoring 48 against Messiah, 43 for the race with Juniata and 46 against Gettysburg.

The Cards will take a week of rest before the Cabrini Invitational on October 14th.
