ATLANTA, Ga. - The Catholic University men's cross country meet finished the 2006 season with a trip to the NCAA Regional meet. The squad finished 17th overall with two runners placing in the top 60.
Freshman Andrew Smith (Arlington, Tenn./Bolton) was the top finished for the Cards marking the first time this season. Smith ran a 28:20.2 to take the 55th spot. Sophomore Paul Santuoso (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) finished behind Smith in 60th place with a time of 28:36.0.
Also running were Kevin Milsted (31:10.6), Scott Pospiech (31:23.9), Alex Maro (31:45.9) and Andrew Cvitanovic (32:17.8).
Milsted is the lone graduating senior for the young Cardinals who hope to build on their strong performances in 2007.
