Men's and Women's Cross Country Both Take First at Albright

LANCASTER, PA.-- Both the men's and women's cross country team took home first place honors at the Albright College Cross-Country Homecoming meet Saturday.

Paul Santuoso (Miami, Fla./Belen Jesuit) set an Albright Invitational record with his 8K time of 27:34.4, finishing in first place.  Teammate Andrew Smith (Arlington, Tenn./Bolton) finished only seconds behind him in second place.  CUA finished in first place with 48 points followed by the hosts who finished with 52.

On the women's side, CUA finished 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 10th, to finish with 29 points, nearly 20 points less than any other team.  Jenna Hacket (Fort Collins, Colo./Fort Collins) finished first for CUA, third overall, leading the team with a time of 24:29.8.

CUA will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1st at the Landmark Conference Championship.  This year's championships will be held at Huntingdon, Pa. with the women's race starting at 10 a.m. followed by the men's race.
