Men's Cross Country Finishes 8th at Landmark Meet

WASHINGTON- The CUA men's cross country team earned an 8th place finish at the Landmark Conference Meet in Washington, D.C., Saturday afternoon. The squad completed the course in 2:35:35, averaging 31:07 per runner.

Andrew Smith led the way for the Cardinals at the CUA hosted event. The senior completed the 8K in 29:01, earning him a 21st place finish. Smith has consistantly been the top finisher for the Cards this season.

Susquehanna took first place at the meet, while Moravian and Juniata finished second and third, respectively. Scranton, USMMA, Goucher, Drew, and Catholic University rounded out the remaining eight squads.

CUA will now look to the November 1st Landmark Conference Championship Meet. Last season, the Cardinals finished 6th at the meet, and will look to combine veteren experience with a talented group of newcomers.
