Men's Cross Country Starts the Year with a Third Place Finish

Lexington, Va.- Catholic's Men's Cross Country team had a promising first showing of the year today at Washington and Lee. The CUA runners came in third place with 91 team points. This score was behind the the Eagles from Mary Washington, who took home first place in the meet with a score of 28. The hosts, Washington and Lee, placed second with 31 points.
Senior Andrew Smith crossed the finish line in 8th place. The native of Arlington, Tenn. finished in a time of 29:32. The next CUA runner to cross the finish line was junior Chris Reynolds (Cooperstown, NY). His time of 31:31 earned him 25th place. Freshman Kian Olian came in 30th place, with a time of 31:46.
The Cardinal Runners will look to improve on this finish next weekend at the Guilford Invitational in Greensboro, NC.
