Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C.-- After coming off a solid week-one start, the men's cross country team raced at the Guilford College Cross Country Invitational in Greensboro, N.C finishing sixth with a total of 164 points.

Washington and Lee took the top spot while Bridgewater and Wingate rounded out the top three, respectively.

Senior Andrew Smith was the only Cardinal to finish in the top 20 with a recorded time of 28:17.4.  The team also saw strong efforts from Kris Reynolds and Kian Olia.

Things look very optimistic for the Cardinals as they saw some promise in their younger runners.  Seven of the 10 runners were sophomores or younger, so even though they are young they are already starting to have success.  Look for the team to grow and mature in the next few weeks, including their next meet, the York (Pa.) College Invitational next Saturday.
