Cardinals run past Goucher in CUA Invitational
WASHINGTON – The Cardinals defeated Landmark Conference
foe Goucher on Saturday by a score of 27-30 at the 2010 CUA
Invitational. Mike Puskar placed second overall with a time
of 28:59.90, while Kian Olia was third as he crossed in
29:38.80.
Other Cardinals that placed in the top-20 included George Brewer
who was sixth with a time of 30:14.80, Joe Quigley, who placed 12th
with a time of 32:18.60, Kyle McKenna, who finished in 32:28.10 and
placed 14th, Michael Kennedy, who was 17th with a time of 33:01.80,
Chris Derks, who finished in 33:15.00 and was 18th, and Henery
Chipiza, who was 19th with a time of 33:16.40.
Rounding out the Cardinals contingent of runners were Nick Pavia
(22), Joe Kenney (23), and Ryan Anderson (24).
Goucher’s Joey Negreann took first place individually as he
crossed in 28:25.80.
CUA will return to the trail on Saturday, October 9 when the
Cardinals compete at the First Generation College Bound, Inc. 5K in
Laurel, Md. Race time is set for 9:00 AM.
