Puskar leads men as CUA finishes season in Tennessee
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Cardinals men’s cross country
team wrapped up its 2010 season on Saturday as CUA competed at the
NCAA Regional, hosted by Rhodes College. Mike Puskar was
CUA’s top finisher as he placed 99th with a time of
28:09.
Other Cardinals that placed on Saturday were George Brewer in
120th (28:53), Kyle McKenna (133 – 29:51), Kian Olia (134
(29:54), and Joe Quigley (136 – 30:03).
Michael Kennedy (30:05) and Chris Derks (30:51) also competed for
CUA.
The Cardinals finished 21st out of 22 schools with 622 points, as
they defeated Piedmont.
Lynchburg won the team crown with 73 points and was followed by
Centre (105), Rhodes (110), Trinity (Texas) (145) and Emory
(201).
Individually, Sean Whitson of Virginia Wesleyan took the top spot
with a time of 24:54, while Centre’s Clinton Cahall (25:04)
and Lynchburg’s Ryan Van Alstine (25:12) placed second and
third, respectively.
