Puskar places 18th as CUA competes in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA – The Catholic University men’s cross
country team placed eighth out of 25 schools at the Philadelphia
Metro Meet on Saturday. The Cardinals totaled 247 points on
the day and were led by Mike Puskar, who came in 19th place with a
time of 30:43.24.
George Brewer placed 42nd for CUA with a time of 32:06.84, while
Kian Olia was 45th as he crossed in 32:18.10.
Other Cardinals that competed on Saturday included Chris Derks
(75th), Kyle McKenna (87th), Joe Quigley (98th), Michael Kennedy
(100th), Joe Funk (101st), Joe Kenney (114th), and Nick Pavia
(117th).
Felician College took the top team spot with 47 points.
Philadelphia University was second with 69 points, followed by
Ursinus with 109.
The top individual was Felician’s Rob Albano, who crossed in
a time of 27:41.88.

CUA will return to action on Saturday, October 2 when the
Cardinals host the CUA Invitational. The race is slated to
begin at 11:00 AM.
