Lozupone Named Landmark Player of the Week

WASHINGTON - Kristina Lozupone was named the Landmark Player of the Week for her performances at the Rebel Games in Winter Haven, Fla., helping Catholic to a 5-4 showing.

Lozupone went 13-for-30 from the plate in nine games for Catholic at the Rebel Games in Winter Haven, Fla. In the team's 8-5 win over Waynesburg, she went 3-for-4 with a triple, had one RBI and added a run to go with a stolen base. She went 2-for-3 against Westminster (Pa.) and Hiram while batting 2-for-4 against Husson and Geneva. The Cardinals' starting catcher, Lozupone finished the week with a .938 fielding percentage with just one error.

This is marks the second week that Catholic has been represented on the Landmark weekly honor roll. Amy Laughner and Victoria Capozucca were named Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, after the opening week of action on March 3.
