WASHINGTON – The Catholic University of America softball senior Erin Adams was recognized by the Landmark Conference on Monday afternoon as she was selected as the softball Athlete of the Week.
Adams boasted an impressive .400 batting average over six games last week as the Cards went 4-2 overall.
The Dunkirk, Md., native also slugged .667 with four extra-base hits including a triple.
Adams plated seven runs and put up a three-RBI game in a 9-0 win over Elizabethtown. She also totaled five runs, two sacrifice hits a walk and a stolen base. Additionally, she played stellar defense at the hot corner as she added nine putouts and seven assists.
The Cardinals will get a week-and-half break for Easter before hosting Hood on Wednesday, April 19 at 3 p.m.
