Softball Drops Two in ECAC Tournament
BETHANY, W.V.- The CUA softball team dropped two games to Bethany and Misericordia in ECAC action Saturday afternoon. With the losses, the squad finishes its season with an overall record of 26-15.
The Cards managed just three hits in a 5-1 loss to Bethany. Catholic scored the first run of the afternoon, after Taylor Stockinger hit a homer to center field in the top of the fourth. Bethany answered by notching two runs in the fourth and three in the fifth, sealing the squad’s 5-1 win over CUA.
Catholic’s bats remained silent in a 5-0 loss to Misericordia later that afternoon. The Cardinals registered just three hits while giving up 11 to their opponent. Misericordia capitalized off a strong third inning, managing four hits and three runs.
Stockinger tallied the lone RBI of the two-game stretch for the Cardinals, while teammate Tracy Scanlon finished the night going 3-of-7 from the plate.
