Saturday's softball doubleheader vs. USMMA cancelled

WASHINGTON – Saturday’s softball doubleheader between CUA and Merchant Marine Academy has been cancelled.   USMAA cannot play the games because of an insufficient number of team members.  The Cardinals will return to action on Sunday when they play host to the nation’s 11th ranked team, Salisbury.  Start time of the doubleheader is 1 p.m.

CUA was last in action on Wednesday, April 27 when the Cardinals split a doubleheader at Frostburg State.  CUA is currently 20-13 overall and 6-4 within the Landmark Conference.  The Cardinals have clinched a spot in the 2011 Landmark Conference Tournament, which gets underway on Friday, May 6 at the site of the highest seed.
