Landmark Conference announces men's swimming preseason poll

WASHINGTON – The Landmark Conference announced its men’s swimming preseason poll on Tuesday and CUA was selected fourth with 39 points.  The Cardinals finished fourth at last year’s conference championships, with Caleb Capozella capturing the Male Swimmer and Rookie of the Year awards.

Merchant Marine Academy took the top spot in the poll with 60 points, which was 10 points better than second place Susquehanna.  Scranton came in third with 46 points, followed by CUA, newcomer Marywood (23), Goucher (21) and Drew (13).

The Cardinals have already competed twice this season, having taken on Division I foes American and George Washington in a pair of unscored meets.

CUA returns to the pool on Friday evening when the Cardinals host St. Mary’s inside the DuFour Center.  Action begins at 5 p.m.
