WASHINGTON - The Catholic University swim teams swept this week's edition of the Landmark Conference Players of the Week. Guido Saccaggi and Julia Wisler were both named the Swimmer of the Week for the week of November 4-10.
Saccaggi earned five first place finishes this week in leading the Cardinals to a 2-0 record. The freshman swam the 500 freestyle in 4:51.61, which is the second fastest time in the Landmark this season. His 10:11.24 time in the 1000 freestyle broke a Susquehanna pool record, as he picked up another first place finish.
Wisler helped the women's team to a 1-1 record, defeating NCAA Division I Howard 109-67. The junior earned three first place finishes this week. In a conference matchup at Susquehanna, Wisler swam a 55.30 in the 100 freestyle, good for the fastest time in the Landmark this season. Her performance in the 50 freestyle also landed her in first place, as her 25.50 time is the second-best in the conference.
