Catholic Swimming Dominates Randolph-Macon Yellow Jacket Invitational

WASHINGTON - With 685 points the Catholic University women's swimming team took first place, as the men took third place with 506.5 points during the two-day Randolph-Macon Yellow Jacket Invitational.

The event welcomed swimming squads from Marymount, St. Mary's College (Md.), Washington College, Davis & Elkins, Bridgewater, Greensboro, Frostburg State, Goucher, West Virginia University-Tech, Notre Dame (Md.) and Hollins.

Among the 29 top five finishes by the Cardinals, Guido Saccaggi finished the 1650 yard freestyle in 16:28.55 for a new school record and first place mark by more than 15 seconds.

Catholic returns to pool in January for a three-meet homestand beginning with Landmark Conference foe Scranton.
