Wisler Named Philip Hunsaker Swimmer of the Week

WASHINGTON – Catholic University women's swimmer junior Julia Wisler was named Philip Hunsaker CollegeSwimming.com swimmer of the week on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Wisler, a native of Phoenixeville, Pa., won the 100 free for the third consecutive year, and the 50 free for the second consecutive year (24.57) setting a new CUA record in the latter.  She was also a part of three relays that set new team records (400 medley, 800 free, and 400 free relays), and picked up a third in the 100 fly (1:00.51).

"This is a great acknowledgement of Julia's performance last weekend, and we are thrilled to get this type of national recognition," said CUA head swimming coach Paul Waas.

Note: Wisler was named Landmark Co-Women's Swimmer of the Year with fellow teammate Joanna Ladas.  Waas and his staff were named Landmark Women's Coaching Staff of the Year.
