Saccaggi Receives Scholar All-American Honorable Mention

WASHINGTON - The Catholic University of America swim team continues receive accolades from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), as Guido Saccaggi was named to the 2014 Scholar All-American Honorable Mention list. 

The Honorable Mention Scholar All-America Award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the semester, or cumulative average, and have achieved a "B" time standard, but did not qualify or compete in their respective national championship.

Saccaggi is the first Cardinal to make the list since 2011 graduate Lisa Brooks.  The Duluth, Ga., native met the qualifying time requirement with a record-breaking 4:04.56 finish in the 400 IM this year.  Saccaggi, who is an engineering major, concluded his freshman year with a 3.95 grade point average.
