ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.- The Catholic University of America men's and women's swim teams finished in the middle of the pack this weekend at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships.  The women took fourth with 299 points and the men were fifth scoring 382.  Mary Washington won the event on both sides.

On the men's side, Rian Foust (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) added his third individual All-CAC honor earning second team in the 200 back with a second place finish posting a 1:57.40.  Classmate Casey Stoecklin (Windsor, CT/Northwest Catholic) also put together a strong performance on the final day with a sixth in the 200 breast swimming a 2:18.94.  The third of the talented rookie trio, Kevin Cravedi (Bethesda, MD/Good Counsel), had a top ten swim in the 1,650 free placing seventh in 17:27.13.

For the women, senior Liz McGinn (Kingsport, Tenn./Dobyns-Bennett) took fifth in the 200 back (2:14.30) after being honored earlier in the meet along with the other fourth year student-athletes.  The underclassmen proved that the Cardinals will have a string team despite the loss of McGinn with some top ten finishes.  Sophomore Krystal Dole (Corbin, KY/Model) was sixth in the 100 free swimming a 55.92.  In the 200 breast Alyssa Dorval (Conway, MA/Frontier Regional) was seventh (2:36.46) and senior Erin Neill (Centerville,VA /Centerville) placed eighth (2:36.94).

The season is now complete for some of the Cardinals but others will wait to see if they have qualified for any post-season meets.
