Landmark Conference announces men's swimming poll
WASHINGTON - The Catholic University men’s swimming team
was selected to finish fifth in the Landmark Conference preseason
poll, it was announced on Monday. The head coaches and sports
information directors at each institution that sponsor the sport
were polled for the preseason voting. CUA finished with 19 votes
and tied with Goucher College in the poll.
CUA brings back the majority of its roster from last year’s
team. Only one senior departed from the fifth-place team at the
Landmark championship meet and the team has a group of nine
freshmen to join sophomore Paul McGee who earned points in numerous
events at the championships as a freshman.
US Merchant Marine Academy finished first in the poll with 45
points followed by Scranton (37) and Susquehanna (34).
The Cardinals return to the pool on Friday, October 29 at St.
Mary’s College of Maryland and will then host Goucher College
on Saturday, October 30th.
